Volunteering

Volunteer with the Nsansa Group

You can offer help through volunteering. This way you get to know the organization from inside and create a relationship with children coming from the streets. These children have slept under bridges, on the ground many without blankets and little clothes. Most children are orphans others have had no choice than to flee from home. The children have no home, no food and no money, this makes begging and taking drugs their only option to feel full and not hungry nor thirsty. However, these drugs destroys their bodies. There are even babies who are given the drugs from stopping them from screaming of hunger. Through our outreaching program we visit them in the street and offer food and medical help while giving them love and attention.

Our street children’s home is located in Lusaka Zambia. We house about 60 children and young adults whom we have brought in from the streets. We currently have a one-room building that houses 16 children and functions at the same time as two class rooms. In this area we need more teachers as teachers currently teaches two classes at the same time. At Chongwe, which is our school

We have several projects developing like building, planting trees and expanding dorms so we can free more street children from the cold streets.

“In my time as a volunteer at Nsansa, I have met some people whom I admire enormously. The founders of Nsansa, manage to create projects that reach the local population in the best way. With their vision and good heart, they help to do a great job by helping young street children to a better life, women who are struggling in everyday life and get to create jobs and empower the locals.
Furthermore, they are an organization created by passionate people, who achieve their goals and at the same time manage to keep dreaming big, which is needed.”
