History

Nsansa Village Community Development Mission is a community based faith organization whose objective is to socio-economically strengthen the less privileged and vulnerable members of the community who include the vulnerable children (OVCs), women especially widows, street children and victims of different circumstances. As a faith based organisation, discipleship is key in fostering changed altitudes amongst care and support especially for street children.

Nsansa village is involved in many areas of human support which include customised under five clinics in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH), Education support, Agriculture support, Care for street children through an established safe housing facility and life skills training.

While the organisation is striving its best to deliver quality services, it is prudent to note that there is great need to provide modern facilities to achieve this goal. Coupled with this, are challenges of staff salaries, their accommodation and their welfare, the organisation seeks support for a fully supported proposal to bring to the realisation of its dreams through provision of quality creative services that are innovative.

While the organisation has acquired 4 hectares land in Chongwe /Chisamba area near kanakampa area for purposes of constructing a multipurpose hall (which will serve as Church Facility, Multipurpose functions and training venues) for the Organisation. The Monthly under five clinics will be assured of a permanent facility to mention but a few. It is envisaged that the dormitories will house children (half house arrangement) of a particular age group and these will be under the care of some staff members. These upon receiving trainings will be reintegrated back to their families.

In addition to this, the project ensure that outdoor recreation facilities such tennis courts, basketball court and netball courts are included for extra curriculum activities. The construction of these facilities will complement the formal in house trainings.

This Project is aimed at strengthening the Organisation’s mission to reinforce the virtues of togetherness as a people living in the same society and who share one common goal. It is to uplift and contribute to the living standards of the vulnerable people.

The long term impacts will contribute to ending poverty, contributing to protecting the environment and ensuring strengthened family bonds. Generally the proposed activities will contribute in attainment of the global sustainable development goals number one (addressing seeks to end poverty), goal number two (ensuring zero hunger), goal number four (quality education), goal number ten (Reduced inequalities) and ultimately forged partnerships for all the sustainable goals.
