Drought brings hunger to Zambia – Help for $10

Zambia has recently been facing severe drought do to shifting weather patterns. This has been disrupting food supplies and thus negatively affecting many people in the process. If the drought continues much longer the region is likely to enter a time of famine. BBC News-Zambia Droughts.

Here, at Nsansa Village Community Development Mission, we do a monthly health project for mothers and children under 5, many of whom are being impacted by the drought. We would love to help them during these difficult times, especially the single mothers and families of the children living on the streets. Without food at home, there is an increased risk that children will run away to search for some on the streets exposing them to many other problems.

To help mitigate malnutrition, the staple food ‘Meal meal’ can be provided at a cost of $10 per bag. This is a 25KG bag that will feed 1 person for 1 month.
